CAF CC: Ifeanyi Udeze doubts Rivers United’s chance against Young Africans

Former Nigeria international, Ifeanyi Udeze has revealed that there will be little or no chance for Nigeria’s champions Rivers United to overturn their deficit against Young Africans of Tanzania (Yanga) in the second leg.
Yanga defeated the Pride of Rivers 2-0 in their backyard as Congolese striker Fiston Mayele netted twice in the first leg played at the Godswill Akpabio stadium.
However, Nigeria’s sole representative will have the chance to overturn things when they travel to Dar es Salaam for the reverse fixture.
Both sides will clash at the Benjamin Mkapa stadium on Sunday with the winners over the two legs going through.
However, the ex-international feels it will be difficult for Rivers United to achieve the desired result away from home.
“I don’t see Rivers United overturning the first-leg deficit,” Udeze told Brila FM.
“Though I love the confidence of the Rivers United players as they believe they can turn it around because anything can happen. it’s football.
“But as for me, I doubt if they can go to Tanzania and beat Young Africa.”
