CAF Confederation Cup Group Draw: Rivers United In Pot 3

Nigeria’s representative in CAF Confederation Cup tournament, Rivers United have found themselves in Pot 3 ahead of the group stage draw.

The 2021/22 Nigeria Professional Football League champions secured their qualification spot on Wednesday night after a 1-1 draw with Al-Nasr in Benghazi. The Pride of Rivers had last week demolished the Libyan club 5-0 in the first leg in Nigeria.

Having qualified for the group stage, Rivers United are placed in  Pot 3 alongside FC Lupopo (DR Congo), Al Akhdar ( Libya) and AS Bamako ( Mali).

CAF said the draw will hold on November 16th in Cairo.
