CAF Confederation Cup: Theo Gibson banks on fans support against Etoile Filante

Rivers United pointman, Theo Gibson is banking on the club’s fans to win the CAF Confederations Cup second-leg, second round preliminary tie against Etoile Filante in Port Harcourt on Sunday.

The Pride of Rivers holds a great advantage in the second leg at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium following their goalless draw against the Les Stellistes in Burkina Faso.

And the forward has assured that his side’s morale is high, promising the fans of exciting football against the Burkinabe side.

“The feeling is good, We are trying to make the Nigerians proud, we are going to give them that victory that they wish for,” Gibson told Rivers United media.

“We are calling on all our supporters to come out enmasse to support Rivers United on Sunday. We promise to entertain the fans with our football. As a group we are working tirelessly to come out victorious against Etoile Filante.”

The first leg ended in barren draw creating suspense and drama ahead of the second leg on Sunday October first.
