CAFCC: Paul Acquah attributes teamwork to Rivers United away win in Angola

Rivers United midfield maestro, Paul Acquah says the excellent teamwork were behind the club’s fantastic 1-0 away win against Motema Pembe in the CAF Confederations Cup group stage encounter.
Despite being reduced to ten men, the Pride of Rivers proved to strong for the Congolese as Acquah’s 53rd minute solitary effort guaranteed their first away win of the competition.
“I’m happy about the goal that I scored,” the midfielder told media.
“I thanked God for scoring the goal and winning the game for my team. I think everyone is working hard for the team.”
In the same scenario of their Rivers United counterpart where they had to makeshift of Godswill Akpabio stadium as their home ground in the CAFCC, Congolese side, Motema Pembe  in Angola.
With this win, Rivers United go top of group B with six points from three games. The Pride of Rivers will play host to Motema Pembe in the second leg on the eighth of March 2023.
