Enyimba FC’s Technical Adviser, Stanley Eguma, has praised the impact of former Nigeria international Brown Ideye following the team’s impressive 4-1 victory over Black Bulls in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Ideye, who joined the Nigerian giants on a short-term deal after leaving his Greek club, made his presence felt in Sunday’s match, scoring Enyimba’s third goal as the team secured a comfortable win.
Ideye, who was introduced as a second-half substitute, added to the tally following a brace from Joseph Atule and a goal by Ihemekwele.
Eguma commended the striker’s professionalism, leadership, and experience, highlighting that the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations winner will bring even more to the squad once he is fully settled.
“Brown Ideye is a household name, and his presence is a big plus to the team,” Eguma said.
“Although he may not be fully fit yet, as he just joined, it’s a gradual process. In the near future, he will add more to the team.”
Eguma’s comments reflect optimism about Ideye’s potential to further enhance Enyimba’s attacking strength as he continues to integrate into the squad.
