CAFCL: Former winners Esperance arrive Nigeria ahead of Plateau United showdown

Plateau United’s opponents in the second round of the CAF Champions League, Esperance of Tunisia has arrived Abuja for the first leg of the tie.
The three-time CAF champions league winners arrived the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on Friday morning with a chartered military aircraft.
Fidelis Ilechukwu’s side face a big best on Sunday at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja and they will hope to get a good result before the second leg tie in Tunis.
The Tunisian giants are lodged at the Sheraton Hotel in Abuja. The 63-man contingent comprises players, coaches and backroom staff, a full team typical of North African teams on the continent.
The three-time champions were drawn bye to this stage of the competition while Plateau United beat AS Mandji of Gabon 3-2 on aggregate to get to the second round of the the continent’s elite club championship.
The winner of this tie over two legs books a spot in the money spinning group stage of the CAF Champions League.
