Champions League: Juan Jesus sees Victor Osimhen as Napoli savior against AC Milan

By Wale Mustapha
As Napoli gear up from the return leg of the UEFA Champions League Quarterfinal second leg tie against AC Milan, Juan Jesus believes the return of striker Victor Osimhen would give the Partenopei extra edge to scale through.
The current Serie A leaders fell to a slim 1-0 defeat in the first leg at San Siro without Osimhen as the Super Eagles’ forward was still out due to muscle injury.
Osimhen made his return to action last Saturday in Napoli’s 3-3 draw against Hellas Verona as a test run for his readiness ahead of Milan visit to Diego Maradona Stadium on Tuesday.
On seeing the return of Osimhen, Jesus believes the Nigerian’s availability will earn them the needed progression.
“I think that is a problem for the Milan defence, as Victor is our top scorer, he is in good shape and always shows that grit and hunger to do more,” Jesus said in a press conference on Monday.
Osimhen is currently Napoli’s top scorer in the Champions League with four goals in five appearances this season.
