By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde
As the countdown to the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN) continues, Nigeria senior men’s national team B captain, Nduka Junior, has assured supporters that the team remains fully focused on their preparations and is steadily building towards peak readiness.
Nigeria will participate in the biennial tournament scheduled to take place across Tanzania, Kenya, and Uganda.
Speaking on the team’s current state, the Remo Stars defender acknowledged the progress made so far, while emphasizing that the work is far from complete.
“Our preparation for the competition is going on well. We are still working hard and getting ready because we have one week left before the tournament kicks off,” Nduka told the Super Eagles media.
The home-based Super Eagles are drawn in Group D, alongside defending champions Senegal, Congo, and Sudan—a challenging pool that will test the squad’s character and cohesion.
Nduka, who brings both leadership and stability to the midfield, highlighted the team’s determination to represent Nigeria with pride and compete strongly in the tournament.
