CHAN Eagles invitation excites Kano Pillars’ Nelson Abiam

Kano Pillars’ centre back, Nelson Abiam has expressed delight over his invitation to the Nigeria national team camp for the 2025 African Nations Championship, CHAN qualifiers against Ghana. 

The former Doma United defender was among the three new Kano Pillars’ players to the Super Eagles B team in Abuja alongiside Sudais Ali Baba and Abdulmajid Aminu.

Abiam who has featured in all Pillars’ games in the 10-week old Nigeria Premier Football League season has described his national team call-up as divine. 

“To the Glory of God I’ve been invited to the Super Eagles home-based team for CHAN 2025 qualifiers,” Abiam wrote on his X account. 

“God’s time is always the best, NEVER GIVE UP”.

The bulky defender produced an excellent performance last season with Doma United before moving to the Pyramid Boys in the new season.
