Nigeria forward Charity Reuben has completed her switch to Israeli women’s top-flight side, Bnot Netanya FC.
The 22-year-old forward joined Bnot Netanya FC from Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership vice-champions, Bayelsa Queens.
The Israeli league is not a new terrain for the former BIIK Kazygurt player as she has played for Hapoel Beer Sheva, her second European club.
At the end of her contract with Hapoel Beer Sheva, Reuben returned to Nigeria and featured for Bayelsa Queens last season where she was part of the team that defeated Rivers Angels to win the 2023 Federation Cup.
The 2021/2022 NWFL Premiership Champions released her alongside Salisu Anuoluwapo Grace at the end of the season with both players heading to Europe as the latter joined BIIK Kazygurt this week.
“I feel good securing a deal with Bnot Netanya Football Club,” Reuben stated on the club’s social media page.
“I feel that my presence in the team will benefit not just me but my entire teammates and the club. I am optimistic that this season will be one of my best.”
After joining Ibom Angels from Rivers Angels (where she started her youth career) in 2015, Reuben scored six goals during the 2016 NWFL Premiership.
The former top goal scorer in the Nigeria Women’s Football League top flight featured for Nigeria at the 2016 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
