By Monsurah Olatunji

Fresh out of winning the best goalkeeper on the African continent, Chiamaka Nnadozie helped Paris FC make history in the UEFA Women’s Champions League (UWCL) following a 2-1 win over Real Madrid in Paris.
The Super Falcons safe hands saved a decisive penalty to inspire the French side to their first-ever group stage win after an impressive display against the Spanish giants on Thursday night.
Just like she did against defending Olympic champions, Canada, at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, Nnadozie saved a penalty and also stopped the resulting kick from World Cup winner, Olga Carmona
The 22-year-old was named the Goalkeeper of the Year at the 2023 CAF Awards Gala on Monday night.
Goals from Julie Dufour and Gaetane Thiney handed Paris a shock 2-0 lead before Los Blancos later pulled a goal back in the second half through Caroline Moller.
“Big night, big mentality. Big win in the Champions League tonight,” Nnadoziewrote on her Instagram story.
“What a Champions League night. An important win at home, and a great fight from the whole team.
“To our amazing fans, thank you so much,” she added on her official X page.
