The 25-year-old burst into the public glare at the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in Azerbaijan in 2012 as a 15-year-old and netted six goals in that tournament, including five in Nigeria 11-0 demolition of the hosts Azerbaijan.
The Nigerian forward explained why she left China for Mexico despite being in a red-hot form at the time.
“I decided to move to another place to try a new culture because China is a good place too,” Ihezuo told The Nations.
