Winger Samuel Chukwueze scored the winning goal as his Italian Serie A side, AC Milan, edged European champions Real Madrid 1-0 in a pre-season friendly match on Thursday.
The team had defeated English Premier League (EPL) winners Manchester City 3-2 in their previous match, where the Nigeria winger provided double assists from crosses.
This time around, the Super Eagles player took the bull by the horns and converted the all-important goal for his side in the 55th minute from Mattia Liberali’s assist.
He was replaced by Hugo Francisco Cuenca Martinez in the 78th minute at the Soldier Field, Chicago, United States of America (USA).
AC Milan will play two pre-season friendly games before the season opener against Torino on August 17.
On August 7, they will face FC Barcelona in their next match.
That will be followed by their final pre-season friendly match against Monza on August 13.
