Colombia 2024: Falconets foes Germany name Bundesliga dominated roster for World Cup

By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Germany have unveiled their 21-player roster for the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia.

19 out of the 21 players are home based from the Germany Bundesliga women.

Miriam Hils from California Golden Bear in the United States of America (USA) and Kristianstads’ Mathilde Janzen are the two foreign based players in the squad.

The European side will face Nigeria’s Falconets, Korea Republic, and Venezuela in Group D at the World Cup.

They have denied Falconets the chance of winning the title twice with both sides rekindling their rivalry at the group stage.

Christopher Danjuma’s side reached the quarter final of the 2022 edition of the tournament and hope to win the title this time around.
