Nigerian midfielder Daniel Daga has expressed delight after scoring his first goal for Norwegian top-flight side Molde FK in a thrilling 3–2 win over Valerenga on Sunday night at the Intility Arena.
Daga, 18, came off the bench in the 80th minute and made an immediate impact, firing a powerful shot from inside the box just three minutes later to put Molde back in front.
The goal marked his first in six league appearances for the club since joining the Eliteserien side, and he took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to share his excitement.
“Unless they kill God. Unbelievable feeling! First league goal and it’s a moment of pure joy!” he posted.
The former Dakkada FC and Enyimba midfielder continues to build his reputation in Europe after winning the 2022/2023 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title with Enyimba.
Daga is also a key player for Nigeria’s U-20 national team, the Flying Eagles, and is regarded as one of the country’s top emerging talents.
