Desire Oparanozie on target in Chinese champions Wuhan loss to Shanghai

Nigerian forward, Desire Oparanozie scored her second goal of the 2022 Chinese Super League Women’s season as her team, Wuhan Giangda suffered its second defeat of the campaign.
Wuhan Giangda’s solitary defeat came after 14 straight wins clinched the league title.
The team on Tuesday succumbed to a 3-2 defeat to Shanghai RCB in Matchday 17 amd Oparanozie opened the scoring for Wuhan Giangda in the 17th minute of play.
Zambia captain, Barbra Banda equalised for Shanghai RCB in the 45th minute before Jie Fang and Li Tingying completed Shanghai RCB’s comeback with goals in the 50th and 61st minutes respectively.
Temwa Chawinga reduced the deficit for Wuhan Giangda in the 81st minute but the goal could not prevent Wuhan Giangda’s second defeat in three games.
Wuhan Giangda with 45 points from 17 games has confirmed its status as league Champions with a game to spare.
The team will end its league campaign away at Jiangsu Suning on November 18, 2022.
