Di Canio jokingly explains why he could not take a taxi ride while at West Ham – picture

Former Serie A striker and Premier League cult hero Paolo Di Canio has not too long ago defined why he was unable to take a taxi trip on one specific event whereas he was taking part in for West Ham within the early 2000s. 

Di Canio, who’s finest remembered in England for his time with the Irons, was turned away by a taxi driver in Knightsbridge as a consequence of their conflicting loyalties. 

Because it turned out, the taxi driver in query was a Millwall supporter and subsequently felt he was unable to chauffeur the star striker from his archrival’s staff.
