Players and officials of Nigeria’s U-17 girls are expected to arrive in Monrovia, Liberia’s capital ahead of Sunday’s 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers fourth round first leg clash on Thursday.
Bankole Olowookere’s side will face their counterparts from Liberia in the first leg of the deciding round of Qualifiers on Sunday.
The 2022 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup bronze medalist secured a 7-1 aggregate win over Burkina Faso in the previous round of the qualifiers.
Earlier, they also recorded a high goal margin victory against Central Africa Republic (CAR).
Liberia on the other hand was responsible for the ouster of Senegal in the third round.
The venue of Sunday’s encounter is the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex at Paynesville – the same venue where the Super Eagles defeated the Leone Stars of Sierra Leone last year to qualify for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The return is billed for the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja with the winner on aggregate qualifying for this year’s FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Dominican Republic.
