The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has appointed a team of officials from Uganda and the Central African Republic for the first leg of Nigeria’s 2028 Olympic qualifying tie against the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Ugandan referee Duula Joshua will take charge of the match as the centre referee.

He will be supported by fellow Ugandans Brianson Musisi and Katerega Ashiraf, who have been named as the first and second assistant referees respectively. William Oloya will serve as the fourth official.

CAF has selected Jean Marie Koyakobo of the Central African Republic as match commissioner, with his compatriot Letokouzou appointed as referee assessor.

The appointments, reported by allnigeriasoccer.com, confirm the officials who will oversee the opening match of the two nations’ contest for a place at the 2028 Olympic Games.

Nigeria’s Olympic Eagles are continuing their preparations for the qualifier and will play National League club Grassrunners FC in a friendly on November 6.

That match will be held at the Remo Stars Stadium as the Olympic Eagles build towards their meeting with DR Congo.
