Dries Mertens tips Victor Osimhen to greatness in Turkey

Galatasaray midfielder Dries Mertens has expressed his confidence in Victor Osimhen’s potential to shine in Turkey.

Osimhen, who provided his second consecutive assist in Galatasaray’s 3-1 victory over Fenerbahçe, set up Mertens for the team’s second goal.

Mertens is thrilled about Osimhen’s arrival, praising his skills and performances.

“Frankly, I am very happy that he came here. He is an incredible player, and I know he can do even better. We will see that in the future,” he stated.

Hailing Osimhen’s significance to the Turkish team, Mertens acknowledged that despite a challenging preparation period, the Nigerian forward is crucial for their trophy ambitions.

“He is a very important player for us, and I think he will reach even greater heights,” Mertens added.

Galatasaray currently tops the Turkish Super Lig with 18 points from six matches and will face PAOK in their upcoming Europa League match on Wednesday, September 25.
