Edo Queens, Bendel Insurance reach Edo State FA Cup final

Holders, Edo Queens will face Fortress Ladies FC in the final of the 2023 Edo State FA Cup on Wednesday.
The final slated for Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City will see the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership side attempt its eighth FA Cup title.
Moses Aduku’s side has won the title seven times consecutively and is expected to have an easy ride over third-tier NWFL Nationwide side, Fortress Ladies.
The FA Cup final will be a preparatory match for the Benin City-based side ahead of its league encounter with Confluence Queens in Lokoja on March 22.
Meanwhile, Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Group A leaders, Bendel Insurance will trade tackles with Insurance Feeders in the men’s final.
The Benin Arsenals are also using the State FA Cup final to prepare for the second stanza of the NPFL season.
The match is slated to kick off by 11:00 am after the conclusion of the women’s final by 9 am. The finalists automatically qualify for the national finals of the Federation Cup.
