Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) Premiership champions, Edo Queens, will discover their group opponents at the WAFU-B Women’s Champions League Qualifiers when the official draw takes place on August 18, 2026.
The draw ceremony is scheduled for 12:00 GMT at the WAFU-B headquarters, where participating clubs will learn their groups and opponents on the road to the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League.
Seven teams have so far been confirmed for the regional qualifying tournament, which will determine WAFU-B’s representatives at the continental competition.
Edo Queens will be aiming to make a strong impression after securing the NWFL Premiership title and earning the right to represent Nigeria at the regional qualifiers.
Defending champions ASEC Mimosa of Côte d’Ivoire will also return to the competition as they seek to retain their WAFU-B crown and secure another place at the CAF Women’s Champions League.
The August 18 draw is therefore expected to provide clarity on Edo Queens’ group-stage pathway, as clubs begin their quest to emerge as the WAFU-B representatives at the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League.
