Former Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) champions Edo Queens have strengthened their squad with the signing of new players ahead of the 2025–26 season.

The Benin-based club unveiled the new additions, confirming the arrivals of Lucky Mary, Mary Offor Moses, Charlotte Adjei, Sunday Blessing, Doosur Atune Anastasia, Precious Oscar, and Marilyn Essien.

Mary joined from Abia Angels, Moses from Rivers Angels, Adjei from Remo Stars Ladies, Oscar from Imo Striker Queens, and Marilyn Essien switched from Nasarawa Amazons.

The Benin-City-based side also confirmed the arrival of Merit Offor, who joined from Confluence Queens.

The signings are part of Edo Queens’ ambitious push to reclaim the league title after losing it to Bayelsa Queens last season.

Edo Queens will open their campaign against defending champions Bayelsa Queens in what promises to be one of the standout fixtures of Matchday 1.

The 2025/26 NWFL season is scheduled to kick off on Wednesday, November 26, with clubs across the country gearing up for another exciting year of women’s football.
