Edo State Federation Cup: Four teams progress to second round

Four teams have booked a place in the Second Round of the 2023 Edo Federation Cup following their opening round victories at various centres in Benin City.
Osemwingie FC and Etete FC played out a 1-1 draw with the former securing a place in the second round after a 4-1 win on penalties.
Elsewhere, Delight FC pipped Benin Warriors 2-1 to also make it to the second sound, while Royal Force edged Star City 1-0 while Aidia Sports defeated Meggap FC 4-2 on penalties after regulation time ended 0-0.
Four first round games are slated to take place on Wednesday at the School of Health Technology Sports Complex, Dumez Road, Benin City.
Future Stars and West Gate FC will trade tackles in the first game as Elite FC settles scores with Morsko FC.
Etto FC will face Mission Side FC with the clash between Konstanz Dike Foundation and Alhaji FC rounding up the First Round games.
The Second Round of the 2023 Edo State Federation Cup will kick off on Thursday as Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) form team, Bendel Insurance faces Etete FC at the Western Boys High School Mini Sports Complex, Ikpoba Hill, Benin City.
Yak FC and Delight FC will also face off at the same venue alongside the game between Dynamite FC and Royal Force.
Aidia Sports and Eagle Wings FC will round up Thursday’s second round games.
