Egypt 2023: Nigeria’s Solomon Agbalaka makes U20 AFCON best XI of Group Stage

Nigeria star Solomon Agbalaka has capped his impressive performances so far with inclusion in the U20 Africa Cup of Nations’s Best XI players in the preliminary stages.
Agbalaka, who also won two Man of the Match awards during the group stage in Egypt, made the best eleven list dominated by young Teranga Lions of Senegal (four) with Papa Diallo leading the pack.
Pape Diop, Mahmoud Camara and Landing Badji completed the four players from Senegal and the duo of Torach Ochaki and Rogers Mushiga from Uganda also make the list.
Congo’s Deogracias Bassinga and Prince Soussou, Gambia’s Alagie Saine and Abdul Rashid from Benin Republic were also in the best players from the group stages with Abdoulie Bojang from The Gambia as the Coach of the team.
The Flying Eagles will be taking on Uganda in the quarterfinals of the competition in Suez on Friday.
The winner will eventually make it to the semi final and also book an automatic ticket to the FIFA U20 World Cup to be held in Indonesia later in the year.
