Emmanuel Petit urges Arsenal to sign Victor Osimhen to solve goal-scoring issues

Former France midfielder Emmanuel Petit has advised Arsenal to sign Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen this summer to bolster their attack. The Gunners are in the market for a reliable center forward, a deficiency that Petit believes cost them the Premier League title last season.
Osimhen, who currently plays for Napoli, has a €130 million release clause, which may be a significant hurdle for potential buyers. Despite this, Petit, who once played for Arsenal, insists that Osimhen would be a transformative addition to his former club.
“I would love to see a player like Osimhen, for example, as a striker. Someone who can hold defenders and think differently in terms of attacking the spaces behind the defenders and being a big threat on set pieces. A physical presence as well, but someone who can speak the same football,” Petit told talkSPORT.
Petit has been following Osimhen since his days at Lille and believes the Nigerian would fit perfectly at Arsenal. He emphasized the urgent need for a top-quality striker at the club, stating, “The first thing that they need is a striker.”
