England vs Nigeria: Honorable Adams backs Super Falcons to perch on Lionesses

Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Sports, Honorable Ekene Adams has expressed confidence in the abilities of Nigeria women’s team to go all the way at the FIFA Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
The Super Falcons progressed to the second round of the mundial following a goaless draw with Ireland that saw them finishing second in Group behind co-hosts, Australia.
Randy Waldrum’s side will be taking the Three Lionesses of England in knockout duel on Monday in Brisbane.
Honorable Adams who commended the Super Falcons on their brilliant runs at the tournament so far believed the team have what it takes to get past their next opponents and even go all the way to win the Women’s World Cup just as he assured them of Nigerians’ continued supports and prayers to excel.
“Nigerians are happy with the performance of the Super Falcons at the World Cup and I believe the team has what it takes to win the Cup,” Honorable Adams told media.
“I will urge the girls to raise their game when they confront England in the round of 16 next Monday.
“I trust the Super Falcons to fly past the Lionesses of England to reach the quarter finals. I believe in the girls and Nigerians believe in them and are looking forward to receiving the team with the trophy.
“Football is a unifier and we shall continue to give it all the needed support to ensure that it keep on bringing us joy.”
The Super Falcons is slated to engage the European champions, England in another high profile match on Monday in Brisbane by 8am.
