Enugu Rangers to resume training on July 9 for continental campaign

By Saheed Afolabi

Enugu Rangers have announced that players should report back to the club on July 9 to begin preparations for their upcoming continental engagements.

The Flying Antelopes clinched their eighth Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title last season, and now aim to make a significant impact in continental competitions.

Rangers’ General Manager, Amobi Ezeaku, emphasized that the players have had sufficient rest following a demanding season and that preseason activities will start immediately.

“I am quite sure that our players got the needed rest from the rigors of last season and we expect them back to camp on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, for proper preseason activities to commence,” Ezeaku was quoted as saying by Enugu Rangers.

“We thank all those who were there for us in the concluded season and expect more from them as we venture into the continent to make a big impact and successfully defend our NPFL title.”

The club has also signed five new players expected to join the squad: Garando Tekena, Evans Ogbonda, Anayor Ogbonna, Ekeson Okorie, Chimobi Igwilo, and Somtochukwu Nwobodo.
