Enyimba boss Finidi George shifts focus to CAF Champions League after NPFL success

Enyimba head coach, Finidi George has shifted his attention to the CAF Champions League after leading the club to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title for the ninth time.

The People’s Elephant claimed the title by a 1-1 draw in their last game of the NPFL Super Six campaign against Rivers United and the former international promises an remarkable outing in the CAF Champions League next term.

“We won’t relent, we will continue to work hard to make an impact next season in the CAF Champions League,” George told BSN Sports.

“It’s a big thing for us to return to continental football, that’s where we belong.”

Enyimba last won the CAF Champions League in 2004 and appeared last in 2020.
