Enyimba legend Victor Ezeji to grace CAF Champions League knockout stage draw

Two-time CAF Champions League winner with Enyimba, Victor Ezeji is expected to attend the quarter-final draw ceremony of the CAF Interclub competitions on Wednesday.
The draw for the quarter-final stage of the CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup will hold on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, in Cairo, Egypt.
In a social media post, Ezeji confirmed his invitation for the draw by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) and will be involved in drawing lots of the quarter-final of CAF Interclub competitions.
Rivers United is the only Nigeria club in the draw for the CAF Confederation Cup after its second place finish in group B behind Asec Mimosa of Ivory Coast.
Stanley Eguma’s side are joined by Marumo Gallants (South Africa), USM Alger (Algeria), ASFAR FC (Egypt), Pyramids, Young African (Tanzania)
The former Enyimba and Sunshine Stars player is one of the longest serving players in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) before his retirement in 2015.
Ezeji played during most of his over 20-year career in the Nigeria top-flight league with stint with Club Africain of Tunisia as his solitary foreign sojourn.
He played for Sharks FC, Eagles Cement, Enyimba, Dolphins, Club Africain, Sunshine Stars, and Heartland FC.
