Head Coach of Nigeria’s Super Eagles B team, Eric Chelle, has released the final 23-man squad for the 8th African Nations Championship (CHAN), scheduled to take place in July and August 2025.
The squad includes notable home-based players such as Sikiru Alimi, Godwin Obaje, Nduka Harrison Junior, and Adedayo Olamilekan.
Goalkeeper Henry Ozoemena Ani, defenders Sodiq Ismaila and Stephen Mayo, as well as midfielders Hadi Haruna and Alex Oyowah, also feature prominently.
The team has been training at the Remo Stars Sports Institute in Ikenne-Remo, Ogun State, and is expected to depart for Zanzibar on Thursday evening via Ethiopian Airlines. A second-phase training camp will run in Zanzibar from July 25 to 31.
As part of preparations, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has arranged two friendly matches against the Zanzibar national team on July 28 and July 31.
Nigeria has been drawn in Group D of the 19-team tournament, alongside defending champions Senegal, as well as Sudan and Congo.
The Super Eagles B will play group matches against Senegal and Sudan at the Amman Stadium in Zanzibar, while the final group fixture against Congo will be held at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Samuel Ahmadu is a distinguished multimedia journalist and women's football expert with over 15 years of experience in the industry.
