Family Worship FC dethrones EFCC FC to clinch FCT FA Cup

Family Worship Football Club (FWC FC) is the new Federal Capital Territory (FCT) FA Cup winner.

The team emerged victorious in the FCT President FA Cup defeating defending champions EFCC FC 4-3 in a penalty shootout after a thrilling 90-minute encounter at the Area 3 Football Stadium on Saturday.

FWC FC coach Bunmi Haruna expressed his determination to make the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) proud as the team advances to the Round of 64 in the 2024 President Federation Cup.

“As for us, we don’t fear any team. We are going to give our best to make FCT proud. It’s going to be 11 against 11 on the field,” Haruna stated.

He also assured FCT residents of a strong performance at the 2025 President Federation Cup.

FWC FC will now compete in the Round of 64 against teams from across the country alongside beaten finalist, EFCC FC.

They will compete with other FA Cup winners and runners-up across the country.
