Fans to receive valuable goodies in inaugural NPFL-Dozy Mmobuosi preseason

A pre-season tournament involving four of the traditional clubs of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) will hold in Lagos with an unprecedented winner to take all ₦100 million prize money at stake.

The preseason competition is approved by the NPFL, packaged by Tingo Media and sponsored by The Dozy Mmobuosi Foundation.

This invitational tourney will feature former African Champions League winners, Enyimba International, two former African Cup winners, Rangers International and Shooting Stars Sports Club, and Bendel Insurance.

The big-money tournament will also see fans and spectators receive valuable goodie packs as announced by the management team of the competition, Tingo Media Group.

Chief Operating Officer of Tingo Media, Martins Ebuwa Agbonwaneten said that the incentive is being provided to give fans a rewarding experience in addition to the entertaining football games the participating clubs would be providing on the pitch.

“Our plan is to provide a refreshing new experience to the organization of football tournaments in the country and this we are doing by offering rewards to the clubs through huge prize money, the players through the individual performance awards, and the fans through our valuable goodie bags,” Agbonwaneten said.

Meanwhile, the inaugural tournament which is scheduled to hold at the Mobalaji Stadium between December 6 and 9 will also see each of the four invited clubs receive ₦10m appearance fee.

The Dozy Mmobuosi Super Cup plan to become one of the major domestic trophies winnable by the elite clubs in the NPFL each season.
