Fatai Osho leaves Rivers United post as chief coach

Fatai Osho has resigned his role as the chief coach of Rivers United after the club finished in third place to book a CAF Confederations Cup place.
Osho who had tendered his resignation from the club earlier on in the season but was persuaded by the club’s management to stay put at the club, have finally left the club to pursue greener pastures elsewhere.
The soft spoken coach announced his resignation through his social media handles as he appreciated Rivers United for the experience and memorable moments he had with the team.
“Thank you Rivers United FC, I want to thank the entire Rivers United FC management, staff and coaching crew for my stay in this great club,” Osho wrote on social media.
“It has been a worthwhile experience and memorable one at that. As I resign my position as the Chief Coach of this great club.”
Osho came into recognition in the Nigeria Premier League (NPL) when he guided Remo Stars to the Nigeria topflight football league in 2018.
However, he left the Sky Blue Stars to join Enyimba International as assistant coach before he was uplifted to the chief coach position.
