Fenerbahce join race for Real Madrid forward Endrick after Salah’s Trabzonspor move

Fenerbahce have entered the race to sign Real Madrid forward Endrick, with the Turkish club seeking to match the attention generated by Trabzonspor’s historic transfer of Mohamed Salah.

The Istanbul side are understood to be exploring a move for the 20-year-old Brazilian, who has been linked with Fiorentina and Roma. Reports suggest Fenerbahce have made an initial approach as they consider whether Endrick could become the latest major name to arrive in the Turkish Super Lig.

Trabzonspor’s agreement to sign the “Egyptian King” has created considerable excitement around Turkish football. Within hours of the deal being completed, the transfer’s impact was already being felt beyond the Black Sea region, with leading clubs in Istanbul responding by examining their own opportunities in the market.

Fenerbahce’s interest in Endrick is still at an early stage. Turkish journalist Yagız Sabuncuoglu reported on X that the player had informed Real Madrid of his desire to leave permanently in search of more regular first-team football.

However, Doruk Ciger, a TRT Spor reporter who specialises in Fenerbahce, said the club’s involvement had not yet developed into formal negotiations. According to Ciger, Fenerbahce have so far limited their activity to making an official inquiry to Endrick’s representatives.

That approach was intended to establish the player’s financial demands and the terms he would seek from a potential new club. No advanced discussions have yet taken place, despite Fenerbahce now being listed alongside Fiorentina and Roma as possible destinations.

Real Madrid are reportedly not attempting to block Endrick’s departure. The principal difficulty, according to the reports, is the player’s own preference. Endrick is said to regard a move to the Premier League as his priority at this stage of his career.

The uncertainty surrounding his position at Santiago Bernabeu has increased since Jose Mourinho returned to the Real Madrid manager’s job. Endrick’s future is consequently expected to remain a major talking point before the current transfer window closes, with both a loan move and a permanent transfer being considered.

Fenerbahce’s enquiry does not yet amount to a bid or an agreement, but it reflects the growing ambition among Turkey’s leading clubs. Trabzonspor’s move for Salah has raised expectations and encouraged rivals to pursue high-profile international players of their own.

For now, the negotiations involving Endrick remain preliminary. Fenerbahce are assessing the conditions required for a deal, while the Brazilian forward continues to weigh up his options, with increased playing time and a possible move to the Premier League central to his thinking.
