Finidi George reveals mission statement as Rivers United new gaffer

Rivers United’s newly appointed Technical Manager, George Finidi, has vowed to make a significant and immediate impact on the team, while also seeking support from all stakeholders.
Rivers United confirmed Finidi’s appointment on Wednesday, stating that the former Super Eagles’ handler will be managing the club for two seasons.
The former Real Betis winger expressed his commitment to making the club competitive in the league and helping them secure a continental ticket next season.
“I am honoured to have this opportunity, and I thank the Sports Commissioner, the General Manager, and the supporters for their confidence in me,” Finidi said at the contract signing ceremony.
“I am committed to working hard and making the team win. The target set is to win games and at least finish on the continent next season.”
Finidi previously helped Enyimba win the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title during his three-year stint with the two-time African champions.
