Flourish Sabastine bags brace as Fenerbahce thrash Antalyaspor

By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde

Nigeria forward Flourish Sabastine continued her fine form in Turkey, scoring twice to help Fenerbahce cruise to a dominant 6–0 victory over 1207 Antalyaspor in a league fixture on Wednesday.

Fenerbahce took the lead in the 29th minute through Yagmur Uraz, before Sabastine doubled the advantage four minutes later to give the visitors a comfortable cushion heading into halftime.

Eight minutes after the restart, Maria Salas made it 3–0 before Sabastine grabbed her second of the match to extend the lead further.

Uraz also netted her second of the game to make it five, while Andrea Staskova sealed the emphatic win with an 81st-minute strike.

The brace takes Sabastine’s tally to four goals in five league appearances this season for Fenerbahce.

The victory keeps Fenerbahce tied at the top of the table with 15 points from five matches, level with Tosin Demehin’s Galatasaray, and three points clear of reigning champions Fomget GSK, who have Suliyat Abideen in their ranks.

Up next for Fenerbahce is a home clash against Chioma Olise’s Trabzonspor on November 2, 2025.
