Flying Eagles Face Tough Group at 2025 WAFU-B U-20 Boys Cup

Nigeria’s U-20 national team, the Flying Eagles, have been drawn into a challenging Group A at the 2025 WAFU-B U-20 Boys Cup.

They will face tournament hosts Ghana and regional rivals Benin Republic.

Group B features Cote d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Niger Republic, and Togo. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals.

Coached by Aliyu Zubairu, the Flying Eagles are the reigning WAFU-B U-20 champions, a title that secured their spot in the last U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.

Their third-place finish at that AFCON earned them qualification for the upcoming FIFA U-20 World Cup.
