Former NFF President Amaju Pinnick drags Davido ₦2b over ‘Warri Again’ to Court

Former Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) president, Amaju Pinnick has reportedly filed a lawsuit against Davido for an alleged breach of contract, through the organizers of the annual ‘Warri Again Concert’, Brownhill Investments, Company Limited.
The afrobeat musician David AFormer NFF President Amaju Pinnick drags Davido ₦2b over ‘Warri Again’ to Courtdeleke, popularly known as Davido has also been accused of cyberbullying and defamation of character for a series of posts made on his official social handles after failing to show up at the event in October.
Recall that Nigeria Football earlier reported that Davido had been paid to perform at the 19th edition of ‘Warri Again’ but still did not show up despite paying him an exorbitant amount of $94,600 and booking a private jet for his crew.
The FIFA board member claimed that his life and that of his immediate family have been in grave danger and threatened with physical bodily harm, injury, and attacks since Davido made incendiary posts against him on social media in October.
Amaju has now filed a lawsuit marked EHC/183/2023 before the Delta State High Court in Effurun against the superstar and his record label.
The claimant, through its lawyer, Kelechi Onwuegbuchulem, is asking the court to award N2bn as general damages against Davido and his music label, Davido Music Worldwide Limited.
