Former head coach of Nigeria’s senior women’s national team Randy Waldrum, has been inducted into the United Soccer Coaches Hall of Fame.

Waldrum joins Craig Ewing, Steve Sampson, and Al Miller as members of the Class of 2026, who will be formally honoured during the 86th annual United Soccer Coaches Convention, scheduled to take place from January 12–17, 2026, in Philadelphia, United States of America (USA).

The 69-year-old’s induction celebrates a coaching career spanning more than four decades, marked by his impact in collegiate soccer, player development, and leadership at the international level.

Waldrum, appointed as head coach of Super Falcons in ahead of 2022 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), guided the team to the Round of 16 at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup — a campaign widely praised for its tactical discipline and resilience.

He stepped down from his role in September 2024, citing family and health-related reasons, particularly his wife’s health concerns.

Waldrum’s inclusion in the Hall of Fame recognizes his lasting contribution to the growth of football both in the United States and internationally.
