Galatasaray captain, Fernando Muslera has heaped praises on Victor Osimhen after the forward masterminded the team’s win at Caykur Rizespor on Monday night.
The Super Eagles star grabbed a brace for Okan Buruk’s side in their 2-1 victory.
The Nigerian forward had missed Galatasaray’s 4-1 defeat to AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League playoffs last week but made a triumphant return, playing a pivotal role in their league match success and strengthening their title ambitions.
Speaking after the match, Muslera stated that the Yellow and Reds are lucky to have the 26-year-old in their team.
“He really puts in a lot of effort and fights every minute. He never gives up. We are all grateful to play with a player like him,” he told the club’s official website.
“We knew we would achieve something as a result of supporting him. Today, he scored the goals that brought us victory.
“The second half allowed us to find ourselves even better and to score very effectively from a dead ball.”
Since joining Galatasaray on loan from Napoli last summer, Osimhen has been a standout performer scoring 14 goals and providing four assists in 18 Turkish League appearances, along with five goals and one assist in the Europa League.
