Glenn Hoddle rates Victor Osimhen ahead of Erling Haaland

English former football player and manager Glenn Hoddle believes Napoli goal poacher Victor Osimhen is better than Manchester City forward Erling Haaland.

The Super Eagles forward has been in the best form of his career as he  currently leads the goal scorer chart in the Italian Serie A with 18 goals and four assists.

Hoddle admitted that Serie A is the strongest league in the world and thinks the Napoli man is brilliant and done great exploits from his time in Lille, while wishing the Nigerian play in the Premier League in coming seasons.

“Serie A is not the strongest league at the moment, but I think he’s a decent player and probably going to come to the Premier League and do it here,” Hoddle told media.

“But we just going to watch and not get carried away here, he’s not getting numbers close to Haaland and not at that level.

“He’s a brilliant player and could become that, he looks on the track but the other teams he’s at, he has blown up there in Lille and other places. He’s having a beautiful moment and season that most players have.”

Osimhen has been in a blistering form this season as he scored recently in the UEFA Champions League against Eintracht Frankfurt thereby taking his tally of the season to 20 goals, 18 in the Serie A and two in the Champions League.
