Godwin Obaje rejoins Enugu Rangers after brief stint in Oman
By Wale Mustapha
Veteran striker Godwin Obaje has made his return to Enugu Rangers, the reigning champions of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
Obaje, who played a crucial role in the Flying Antelopes’ league triumph last season, rejoins the Coal City club after a brief three-month spell in Oman.
During his time there, he made four league appearances and contributed one assist.
Now back at Rangers, the 27-year-old has already begun training under head coach Fidelis Ilechukwu. Last season, Obaje was the club’s top scorer in the NPFL, netting 12 goals and significantly contributing to their league success.
His return is anticipated to enhance Rangers’ attacking options as they aim to defend their league title this season.
