Halsey tears on referee John Moss in Liverpool’s win over Villa

Former Premier League referee Mark Halsey has blamed Jon Moss for getting most of his decisions wrong during Liverpool’s win over Aston Villa on Tuesday night.

The Reds beat Villa 2-1 to go level on points with Manchester City as the Premier League title race heats up but according to Halsey, the officiating in the game had a lot of errors.

“I thought Jon Moss’ performance wasn’t the best, it was an indifferent performance. The incident with Naby Keita stamping on Douglas Luiz is a clear foul and obviously, Jon was off the pace and missed it,” Hansley told Caughtoffside.

“I can’t disagree with Villa fans if they feel they should’ve had some free-kicks at various moments.”
