Henry Onyekuru Secures Anderlecht’s Victory with Eighth Goal of the Season

Super Eagles forward Henry Onyekuru played a pivotal role in Anderlecht’s return to winning ways, securing a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Lokeren in the Belgian Jupiler League on Saturday. This triumph came after Anderlecht faced a setback with a 1-0 loss to Uche Agbo’s Standard Liege in the Belgian Cup clash just last Wednesday.

The 21-year-old, who has been in impressive form, netted the decisive goal in Saturday’s encounter, marking his eighth league goal of the season. Onyekuru took to Twitter to express his joy, stating, “Back to winning ways. Another goal. God is great.”

As Anderlecht’s top scorer in the Belgian first division league with eight goals in 17 appearances, Onyekuru has played a crucial role in the team’s campaign. He currently shares the top scorer’s chart with Mechelen’s Boureima Bande.
