Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League giants Highlanders FC have announced the signing of highly rated Nigerian forward Benjamin Oluwarotimi Adeogun on a one-year contract, in a move aimed at strengthening the club’s attacking options ahead of the new season.
The 19-year-old striker impressed during a breakout season with Gwanda Pirates, earning widespread attention for his pace, technique, and clinical finishing — attributes that quickly made him one of the most talked-about young talents in Zimbabwean football.
Highlanders acted swiftly to secure Adeogun’s signature, fending off interest from several other top-flight clubs.
The deal will see the teenager remain at Barbourfields Stadium through the end of the current campaign.
Club sources say Adeogun’s decision to join Highlanders was influenced by the club’s long-term vision and competitive ambitions.
His arrival is seen as a strategic move to boost the team’s title aspirations and end their lengthy league championship drought.
Adeogun becomes the latest addition to a squad that is expected to challenge strongly for domestic honours this season.
