Leicester City forward, Kelechi Iheanacho says he respect club legend, Jamie Vardy and he’s in no competition with him.
The Nigeria striker described Vardy as a legend that has contributed to the growth of the Foxes and will accord him his place, noting the team plays to win and they are in unison.
“Let me put that right, it’s never a battle with me and Jamie, he’s a legend in the game, and he’s done a lot for this great club, so it’s never a battle for me and Jamie,” Iheanacho told Leicester City website.
“I’ve got absolute respect for him, he’s a legend as I’ve said before, so it’s never a battle.
“If he plays, he scores, you know what he’s like. So, if I play, I do my bit. Me, Jamie, Patson (Daka), it’s never a battle, we are happy with where we are at the moment.”
The 27 year old Iheanacho has scored four goals in eleven appearances for the Foxes in the English Championship this season.
Leicester City presently tops the Championship table with 30 points in 11 matches and will be on the road to Wales to trade tackles with Swansea City on Saturday, October 21.
