Ibrahim Olawoyin: Nigerian striker scores, assist in Rizespor away win at Bodrumspor

Ibrahim Olawoyin produced a man of the match perform for Rizespor side inspiring them to a 2-1 comeback win against Bodrumspor in the Turkish Lig encounter on Sunday.

The Nigeria attacking midfielder made a return to starting line up following his suspension and created moments of magic for the promotion chasing Turkish outfit.

After a barren first half, Olawoyin and his Nigerian compatriot, Azibuike Okechukwu resumed the contest when Celal Dumanli latched on to a lose ball in Rizespor box to break the deadlock and hand the hosts the lead.

The visitors waited till the last five minutes to find a breakthrough as Olawoyin raced down the flank before providing a low cross that was perfectly headed in by Benhur Kesser to level the scoreline.

With the hosts almost settling for a stalemate, Rizespor left it late to grab the maximum points when Olawoyin notched the winner at the death for his second second league goal since he joined Rizespor in January.

The victory sees Rizespor leapfrogged Bodrumspor on the table and brighten their chances of promotion playoffs.
