Ibrahim Sunusi makes MLS Team of the Week after historical feat with Montreal

Former top scorer in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, Ibrahim Sunusi make history for himself and his Major League Soccer, MLS side, CF Montreal which earned him a place in the Matchday 16 team of the week.
Sunusi was a second half substitute for Montreal against DC United where he helped his team came from two goals down to salvage a point.
The former Nasarawa United forward scored one and provided another for Lassiter to cancel out goals from Donovan Pines (44) and Theodore Ku-Di Pietro (59) by the hosts.
Sunusi’s incredible feat at the Audi Flex Stadium make him the second player in the history of CF Montreal as substitute to score and assist in the same game.
He was named in the MLS team of the week which include the likes of Daniel (San Jose), Alvaro Barreal (FC Cincinnati), Calegari and Gaston Brugman (LA Galaxy), Julio Cascante (Austin), Carles Gil (New England Revolution), Lucas Zelarayan and Cucho Hernandez (Columbus Crew), Daniel Salloi (Sporting Kansas City) and Julian Gressal (Whitecaps).
Sunusi won the Eunisell Golden Boot in 2019 when he emerged top scorer of NPFL season with 11 goals.
