Imade Osarenkhoe confident about Bendel Insurance’s NPFL Super Six qualification

By Oyediji Oluwaseun Babatunde
Bendel Insurance forward, Imade Osarenkhoe says the newly promoted high-flying side won’t lose the qualification for Super Six irrespective of its recent stint of draws in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
Monday Odigie side top Group A despite four straight draws in its last four league game as they forced Kwara United to a 1-1 draw at Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City to maintain its 13-match unbeaten run.
The form which the former University of Benin froward is confident can steer the team to qualify for the Super Six.
“The target was to remain in the NPFL at the beginning of the league which remained our focus,” Imade told Brila FM.
“We are confident now that we can finish in the top three from our group and at least qualify for the Super Six. We just want to keep our focus, pray to God, and see how it goes.”
Insurance started the second stanza with a 1-1 draw against Enyimba before being held to another 1-1 draw by visiting Akwa United.
Another 1-1 draw with Plateau United was followed by last weekend’s 1-1 stalemate against Kwara United making it four straight draws for the Benin Arsenal.
Up next for the team is an away clash with fourth-placed Remo Stars in Ikenne as the only unbeaten team in the league put its record on the line against Daniel Ogunmodede’s side.
